A thunderstorm wind gust of 39 mph/34 knots was recorded at the WeatherSTEM station XHBI at Hillsboro Inlet. Anemometer height is 16 feet.

The northern extent of a tropical wave and a stalled boundary near north Florida provided some enhancement to accompany diurnal heating and the sea/land breezes on August 9, 2025 which allowed for strong thunderstorms to develop over the Atlantic coast.
