A person in the Lackey community posted a picture of hail around the size of a quarter.
Wider weather episode
A line of storms developed across Kentucky ahead of a cold front that began pushing into the state from the west during the afternoon hours on the 14th. As it continued to traverse the state and move into eastern Kentucky, the line of storms resulted in numerous instances of severe weather, including hail and damaging winds. The system them exited overnight, with storms and instances of severe weather ending just after midnight on the 15th in Harlan County.
