Event narrative

Widespread roadway flooding and some property inundation occurred in the tidal areas of Atlantic County. The tide gauge at the Atlantic City Marina reached 7.38 feet MLLW, the tide gauge on the Inside Thorofare at Atlantic City reached 7.47 feet MLLW, the tide gauge at Absecon Creek reached 7.43 feet MLLW, and the tide gauge at Margate reached 7.42 feet MLLW.

Wider weather episode

A powerful coastal storm sat off the New Jersey coast, with strong winds pushing water towards the shoreline and into the back bays of New Jersey. Moderate to locally major high tide levels were observed along the coast. Tidal flooding continued over multiple high tide cycles.
