Event narrative

The Split Top Fire was reported around 9 pm on August 23rd and burned 5,447 acres of grass and brush about 15 to 20 miles west/northwest of Aberdeen near the Split Top and Arco-Minidoka roads. It was fully contained by the evening of August 25th. No structures were threatened but destroyed one outbuilding and a well house. No evacuations were ordered.
