Isolated showers and a few weak thunderstorms developed in cyclonic flow to the north of a low pressure system centered over central South Dakota. A short lived landspout tornado developed south of Zap in Mercer County. The tornado touched down in an open field and impacted no structures. There was no damage to evaluate.
