Event narrative

High temperatures in Southeastern Arizona were 6 degrees above normal, causing Moderate HeatRisk. The Tucson International Airport reached a high temperature of 105 degrees Fahrenheit. The Pima County Medical Examiner found that heat was a contributing factor in the cause of death for two individuals in Tucson and was the primary factor for two individuals, one in Green Valley and one in Tucson.

Temperatures in Southeastern Arizona were 6 degrees above normal with Moderate to Major HeatRisk. The Pima County Medical Examiner found that the cause of death for 8 individuals. Six were heat contributed, three in Tucson, one in Oro Valley, one in Marana, and one in Safford. Two individuals deaths were heat caused, one in Tucson and one in Green Valley. An Extreme Heat Warning was in effect for all the lower elevations, excluding eastern Cochise County each day.
