The Pepin County Sheriff's Office reported that a portion of County Highway N was closed due to heavy rain and flooding just north of Ella.

Wider weather episode

Several individual rounds of thunderstorms impacted western Wisconsin from Friday, August 16th through Sunday, August 18th. Heavy rain amounts on the order of 5-7 inches fell over the course of 72 hours, most of which fell from late Saturday into early Sunday, leading to at least one flooded roadway in Pepin County.
