Event narrative
Strong thunderstorm wind blew off much of the metal roof from a hospital, blew down several trees and power poles, and snapped large tree limbs.
Wider weather episode
Strong to severe thunderstorms developed across east central and southeastern Oklahoma during the late afternoon and evening of the 23rd, along and ahead of a cold front that moved through the region. The strongest storms produced large hail to half dollar size and damaging wind gusts.
