The West Texas Mesonet station at Crane measured a 65 mph wind gust. The sheriff's office in Crane relayed a delayed report of some power outages, but did not reported any damage.

A nearby trough and the presence of a nearby stationary boundary led to thunderstorm development early in the morning of the 18th in West Texas. One storm managed to produce severe winds as it moved through Crane.
