The West Texas Mesonet station at Pine Springs measured intermittent high wind gust between 6:59am and 11:58am CDT. The highest gust recorded was 61 mph.

Breezy westerly winds developed in response to lee cyclogenesis in the Central Plains on the 20th. Upper-level flow over western portions of our area was strong enough to yield high winds in the Guadalupe Mountains during the morning on this day.
