A severe thunderstorm outflow boundary downed a tree on an old barn along NH123A near Forest Road near Alstead.

Wider weather episode

A hot and unstable airmass was in place on the evening of August 5th. A strong cap kept convection at a minimum, but one strong storm developed across Sullivan County and moved south before weakening. The storm had damaging winds and large hail.
