Event narrative

Heavy rainfall caused the Rio Blanco to rise out of its banks, resulting in localized flooding along La Pitina curve in Naguabo. One person was stranded by rapidly rising water but was rescued safely by the Naguabo Municipal Office of Emergency Management. Only the La Pitina curve was flooded; nearby exit 22 remained open to traffic.

Wider weather episode

Convective weather affected Hatillo, where a t-storm wind gust knocked down trees/power lines, and Naguabo, where heavy rained caused Rio Blando to rise out of its banks.
