Thunderstorm wind gusts as high as 63 mph were measured by AWOS station KMML at the Marshall Municipal Airport.

Wider weather episode

A broken line of thunderstorms developed along a cold front which pushed across southwest Minnesota during the late afternoon and evening hours. An appreciable sub-cloud dry layer led to marginally severe wind gusts with sporadic tree damage.
