A wind gust of 34 knots was measured at a WeatherFlow station at Harbor Bank Light.
The wider storm
A large area of showers and thunderstorms originating across south Florida produced an outflow boundary, which moved southwest of Cape Sable and acted as a focus for additional thunderstorm development. Gale force wind gusts occurred north of Big Pine Key.
