Multiple damages reported on social media including fallen trees and branches, tents, and kiosks along Avenida Las Nereidas in Catano. Station nearby reported wind gusts around 45 mph. No injuries nor fatalities were reported.

Abundant tropical moisture from a passing tropical wave combines and favorable upper-level conditions from an approaching trough helped promote showers and t-storms during the afternoon of August 23rd. Southeasterly winds steered activity toward northwestern Puerto Rico and from El Yunque to the metro area (El Yunque Streamer).
