Event narrative
A mature, narrow waterspout with a visible spray ring was observed by broadcast media just south of Bow Channel Bridge, east of Upper Sugarloaf key. The waterspout was tilted westward at about a 30-degree angle from the water surface to cloud base, moving toward the west-southwest around 10 knots.
Wider weather episode
Convective cloud lines developed along the Lower Florida Keys, with a report of a narrow waterspout received near Upper Sugarloaf Key.
