A wind gust of 40 knots was measured at an automated Citizen Weather Observing Program station near the south shore of Cudjoe Bay.

After an afternoon with a convective cloud line over the Lower Florida Keys, a slowly moving outflow boundary moved south, initiating substantial thunderstorm development just north of the Lower Florida Keys.
