A north wind gust of 36 knots was measured at a WeatherFlow station at the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West.

The wider storm

Isolated gale-force wind gusts occurred in association with thunderstorms initially forming along convective island cloud lines. Later in the evening, and outflow boundary from thunderstorms forming along the southwest Florida Keys produced additional gale-force wind gusts.
