A north wind gust of 34 knots was measured by a WeatherFlow station at a navigational light at Alligator Reef.
Wider weather episode
Isolated gale-force wind gusts occurred in association with thunderstorms initially forming along convective island cloud lines. Later in the evening, and outflow boundary from thunderstorms forming along the southwest Florida Keys produced additional gale-force wind gusts.
