An east wind gust of 35 knots was measured at the Keys Energy Services Building on James Street in Key West.

The wider storm

Isolated gale-force wind gusts occurred in association with thunderstorms initially forming along convective island cloud lines. Later in the evening, and outflow boundary from thunderstorms forming along the southwest Florida Keys produced additional gale-force wind gusts.
