Event narrative
An emergency manager reported that the Boardwalk area and Jose Nasario Street in Guanica are impassable. Around 1 to 2 inches of rain had fallen by 10:50 AM.
Wider weather episode
Major Hurricane Erin moved northeast and north of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Erin's Outer Bands and then Feeder Bands still affected the islands, producing strong thunderstorms, gusty winds, and heavy rains across the islands. Several reports of wind gust damage, along with reports of high surf, flooding and debris flow were received between August 16 to 18.
