Event narrative

The 911 Call Center reported a fallen tree in the patio of a residence on PR-173 in Barrio Montellano, near Hacienda Napoles. The tree brought down electrical cables. No individuals are trapped or injured at this time.

Wider weather episode

Major Hurricane Erin moved northeast and north of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Erin's Outer Bands and then Feeder Bands still affected the islands, producing strong thunderstorms, gusty winds, and heavy rains across the islands. Several reports of wind gust damage, along with reports of high surf, flooding and debris flow were received between August 16 to 18.
