Hail was accumulating and looked like snow.

A large thunderstorm to the north of a warm front moved across the Brainerd Lakes area during the morning of the 12th. The storm produced quite a bit of hail, with the largest to the size of ping pong balls. In some locations, there was so much hail covering the ground it looked like snow.
