A Remote Automated Weather Station (RAWS) 10 miles south of Bullhead measured a peak wind gust of 63 mph (55 kts).

A system moving east rapidly strengthened and stalled, resulting in high winds across central, north-central, and northeast South Dakota for the better part of a day. A peak wind gust of 63 mph was recorded by the Remote Automated Weather Station (RAWS) 10 miles south of Bullhead. Additionally, a 62 mph gust was measured at the South Dakota Department of Transportation Mesonet station 12 miles east of Hayes.
