Event narrative
A 911 call center relayed a report of a tree blocking the road near the intersection of N KY-32 and George Johnson Loop. Multiple limbs were also reported down in this general area.
Wider weather episode
A closed upper level low was located across Western Kentucky and Tennessee the evening of the 12th, heading into the 13th. By daybreak on the 13th, or 7 AM LST (12Z), stratiform rain showers were ongoing across the same area. A convective line of storms also developed and could be observed in a north south orientation, intersecting Louisville, Bowling Green, and Nashville by 11 AM LST (16Z). This convective line would eventually work into eastern Kentucky by 3 PM LST (20Z) eventaully leading to one instance of wind damage when it reached Elliot county in the far eastern portion of the state around 5:30 PM LST.
