Event narrative

Indian Draft Creek was observed flooded over Indian Draft Road near the intersection with Jackson River Road, making the road flooded and impassible until the water receded. No damage was reported to the road. Nearby, residents living along East Morris Hill Road witnessed several inches of heavy runoff flowing down the roadway.

Wider weather episode

A hot and humid air mass combined with orographical lift to produce a severe thunderstorm in Bath County of southwest Virginia. Damaging wind gusts from this storm blew down two trees west of Nimrod Hall.
