Pictures from social media relayed via local newspaper of a brief, narrow waterspout just offshore Reddington Beach.

The wider storm

Low-level easterly flow underneath mid- and upper-level west-southwest flow aloft associated with broad troughing over the eastern U.S. lead to afternoon and evening thunderstorms that produce multiple waterspouts -- one each near Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach, respectively, in Lee County, and another near Reddington Beach in Pinellas County.

Began near St Petersburg Beach (27.8000, -82.8200).
