Event narrative

A public report of 1 inch hail.

Wider weather episode

A weak outflow boundary from morning storms helped trigger storm development. Enough CAPE and shear (3000 j/kg and 40 kts) were present to support strong supercellular development. These supercells were prolific hailers and two cells generated giant (3.5-4 inch) hail.
