The Huntingburg, IN AWOS (KHNB) dropped to 32 degrees on the morning of the 24th. Some other local mesonet stations dropped as low as 31-32 degrees.

The wider storm

High pressure centered over the Ohio Valley led to light winds and excellent radiational cooling conditions early on the morning of October 24, 2025. Temperatures dropped to at or below the freezing mark in all of NWS Louisville's counties in southern Indiana. Lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s were common, and this was the first freeze of the season in many communities.
