Event narrative

Widespread roadway flooding occurred in the tidal communities of Monmouth County. Water entered vulnerable buildings causing some damage. The tide gauge at Sea Bright reached 6.54 feet MLLW, and the tide gauge at Sandy Hook reached 7.73 feet MLLW.

Wider weather episode

An area of low pressure moved over New Jersey, with onshore easterly flow pushing water towards the New Jersey coast and back bay communities. This resulted in Moderate Tidal Flooding along the northern NJ coast.
