A mid-level trough axis tracked across western Kansas. Mesoanalysis a few hours prior should rapidly developing instability below a cool mid-level. Flow and shear were also sufficient for severe storm development. In the late afternoon/evening, a line of storms developed and moved along the northern border of the CWA. A few isolated supercells developed along the southern flank of the line. The strongest of these supercells in the CWA produced a pair of 1 inch hail reports in Trego county.
