Mesonet station GW0718 Joplin 25nnw measured a 72 mph wind gust. Montana mesonet station Mt Lebanon SE and Mesonet station GW3478 TCTIBER also measured high wind gusts.
The wider storm
A deepening surface low brought high wind gusts to the Rocky Mountain Front Saturday morning and afternoon. A more potent mid level jet moved through late Saturday night through Sunday. A frontal feature helped mixed these stronger winds down for another round of high winds for the Rocky Mountain Front and in terrain enhanced places in Southwest Montana.
