Mesonet station MTNOR Norris Hill (MT DOT) measured an average sustained wind of 40 mph from 1230 AM MST to 215 AM MST.
Wider weather episode
A deepening surface low brought high wind gusts to the Rocky Mountain Front Saturday morning and afternoon. A more potent mid level jet moved through late Saturday night through Sunday. A frontal feature helped mixed these stronger winds down for another round of high winds for the Rocky Mountain Front and in terrain enhanced places in Southwest Montana.
