Multiple instances of trees were reported down by an NWS Employee, the department of highways, and broadcast media. Media reported an uprooted tree taking down power lines on Moriches Avenue in Mastic at approximately 200 AM Local Standard Time. The Department of Highways reported a downed tree on route 24 westbound between Bellows Pond Road and Red Creek Road in Southampton, NY at 448 AM Local Standard Time, blocking the right shoulder. The Department of Highways also reported a downed tree on route 114 in both directions at Toilsome Land in East Hampton, NY at 539 AM Local Standard Time, closing all lanes. Finally, a NWS Employee reported a tree down, blocking the eastbound on ramp at exit 68 of the Long Island Expressway in Shirley, NY at 630 AM Local Standard Time.
