MT DOT sensor at Norris Hill measured sustained winds, averaged over an hour, of 41 mph.

Wider weather episode

Robust southwesterly flow developed across Southwest Montana ahead of a potent trough and attendant cold front on October 25. Ahead of the front there were isolated instances of strong winds and gusts east of I-15 and south of I-90. Two additional instances of criteria gusts were observed behind the cold front during the evening of the 25th.
