Event narrative
A narrow, rope-like waterspout with an observed spray ring was reported approximately three miles offshore of Long Key Bridge. The condensation funnel cloud was observed completely between cloud base and the water surface.
Wider weather episode
A brief waterspout was observed in Hawk Channel near Long Key in association with a convective rain shower. Broad troughing was situated along the U.S. east coast with a weak surface low over the Florida Peninsula.
