The showers and thunderstorms eventually evolved into a mesoscale convective system over the southeast Gulf of America featuring a large southward-moving outflow boundary bringing scattered gale-force wind gusts through much of the Florida Keys coastal waters the evening of September 12 to the early morning hours of September 13, 2025.
