A north-northeast wind gust of 42 knots was recorded by a WeatherFlow station at the Florida Keys Electric Cooperative Marathon Substation.
The wider storm
A large cluster of thunderstorms moved offshore from the Everglades, producing an area of gale force wind gusts across the middle Florida Keys coastal waters as they progressed southward from Florida Bay to the Straits of Florida side.
Began near Marathon (24.7109, -81.0927).
