A narrow, nearly-vertical mature waterspout was observed offshore the public boat ramp on the Atlantic side of U.S. Highway 1 at mile marker 11, and relayed through social media.
Wider weather episode
A shallow, lower tropospheric boundary moving southward from the southeast Gulf of America waters in the wake of an earlier cold frontal passage was the focus for convective shower development. A brief waterspout was reported near Big Coppitt Key.
