Event narrative

ADOT, via social media, posted pictures of road damage on SR 288 near mile post 273.8, showing damage to a culvert and parts of the road due to heavy runoff from the Billy Fire burn scar. Heavy rainfall of 2 to 3 fell over the area. Time was estimated using the Roosevelt Dam SRP station (SRP44) site.

Wider weather episode

Remnant moisture from two tropical cyclones, Priscilla and Raymond moved into the state of Arizona. Two west coast troughs interacted with this remnant moisture and provided ample lift and shear for heavy rain and severe thunderstorms. The rain led to creek and stream level rises and some flash flooding.
