Event narrative

A member of the public reported on social media that excessive runoff from ongoing rainfall and a nearby river has affected the neighborhood road in Sector La Charca, Barrio Saltos, Orocovis. The road was impassable.

Wider weather episode

Tropical moisture associated with a tropical wave and other trade wind perturbations, along with an upper-level trough resulted in the formation of strong showers and thunderstorms. These showers resulted in flooding, landslide and wind damage along portions of eastern, northern and western Puerto Rico.
