Event narrative
Emergency managers reported two landscape workers swept away by the current in PR-2 (Jose Joaquin Yiye Avila St.), right in front of Las Cascadas Waterpark near Villa Alegria Urbanization. One of the workers had to be transported to a hospital. Their two tractors were also swept away. Flooding was also reported by the media and a NWS Employe along PR-2 (Jose Joaquin Yiye Avila St.) toward GT Tune & Lube.

Tropical moisture associated with a tropical wave and other trade wind perturbations, along with an upper-level trough resulted in the formation of strong showers and thunderstorms. These showers resulted in flooding, landslide and wind damage along portions of eastern, northern and western Puerto Rico.
