Thunderstorms developed over central Cherry County during the early evening hours of September 8th. This activity developed along a surface trough of low pressure and quickly grew upscale. As this activity tracked east from central into eastern Cherry County, it produced hail up to the size of golf balls and wind gusts measured at 65 MPH.
