A social media post showed a landslide along PR-123 at km 28.5 in Adjuntas that sent rocks and debris onto the road, causing a partial closure. The event was attributed to heavy showers in recent days in the mountainous region.

Wider weather episode

Heavy shower and thunderstorm activity was observed each afternoon along the interior and western Puerto Rico. These rains saturated soils, causing a few landslides by the middle of the month.
