Thunderstorms developed along a surface trough over the western Nebraska Panhandle during the late afternoon hours of October 4th. This activity moved into the eastern Nebraska Panhandle producing strong wind gusts in Sheridan and Garden Counties. Wind gusts up to 60 MPH were reported south of Hay Springs and in the Oshkosh area. Downed power lines and tree damage was reported in Oshkosh.
