A large tree was uprooted and fell, impacting electrical lines. This caused a power outage in a residential area near Centro Medico.

Wider weather episode

The flooding threat increased as a robust tropical wave moved across the region. This wave combined with instability associated with an upper-level trough. As the wave departed, tropical moisture continued to flux into Puerto Rico. Showers and thunderstorms were numerous, causing flooding, landslide and wind damage.
