Event narrative

A utility pole fell at the entrance of a residence in PR-140 km 20 in Bo Las Palmas. Blocking the roadway and leaving power lines hanging across the pavement.

Wider weather episode

The flooding threat increased as a robust tropical wave moved across the region. This wave combined with instability associated with an upper-level trough. As the wave departed, tropical moisture continued to flux into Puerto Rico. Showers and thunderstorms were numerous, causing flooding, landslide and wind damage.
