Social media post reported Rio Viejo out of its banks in the intersection of PR-103 and PR-3311. Road was impassable.

The wider storm

The flooding threat increased as a robust tropical wave moved across the region. This wave combined with instability associated with an upper-level trough. As the wave departed, tropical moisture continued to flux into Puerto Rico. Showers and thunderstorms were numerous, causing flooding, landslide and wind damage.

Began near Cabo Rojo (18.1242, -67.1365).
