Emergency managers reported flooding affecting the exit from Expreso Rafael Martinez Nadal toward Avenida Gonzalez Giusti/San Patricio Village, in front of Dennis Restaurant near Plaza San Patricio in Guaynabo. The roadway has been closed and is currently impassable for all traffic.

Wider weather episode

The flooding threat increased as a robust tropical wave moved across the region. This wave combined with instability associated with an upper-level trough. As the wave departed, tropical moisture continued to flux into Puerto Rico. Showers and thunderstorms were numerous, causing flooding, landslide and wind damage.
