A broadcast media reported via social media a landslide on PR-106 at kilometer 5.4 in Barrio Quemado. At that time, radar estimates indicated that 1.3 to 1.5 inches of rain had fallen.

Wider weather episode

The flooding threat increased as a robust tropical wave moved across the region. This wave combined with instability associated with an upper-level trough. As the wave departed, tropical moisture continued to flux into Puerto Rico. Showers and thunderstorms were numerous, causing flooding, landslide and wind damage.
